USDA CENTER FOR VETERINARY BIOLOGICS ISSUES ADVANCED NOTICE OF PUBLIC
MEETING

WASHINGTON, Nov. 17, 2003--The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service will hold a public meeting on veterinary biologics Wednesday, April 7, through Friday, April 9, 2004, in Ames, Iowa.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for the exchange of information
between APHIS representatives, producers, users of veterinary biological
products and other interested individuals.
APHIS invites interested individuals to use this meeting to present their
ideas and suggestions concerning the licensing, manufacturing, testing and
distribution of veterinary biologics.

Meeting times are as follows: from 1 p.m. to approximately 5 p.m. on
Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to
approximately noon on Friday. The meeting will be held in the Scheman
Building at the Iowa State Center, Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa.
APHIS is currently developing the meeting agenda. Once it is finalized,
the agenda will be published in the Federal Register.

Suggested meeting topics and proposed presentation titles should be
submitted on or before Dec. 19, to Richard E. Hill Jr., director, Center
for Veterinary Biologics, veterinary services, APHIS, 510 South 17th
